VPG method and the virtual simulation of road reconstruction

Virtual proving ground vehicle technology has penetrated into all aspects of the development process has become an important automotive research and development technologies. Road roughness is the basic input for vehicle vibration, the vibration of vehicles is mainly caused by the road roughness. Therefore, the correct use of virtual proving ground technology, reflect the actual construction of the road model of road conditions is essential. Road model not only to reflect the real microstructure of surface roughness but also describe the macroscopic shape of the road. This paper combines the National High Technology Development Program (863) projects, mainly in the following areas of work. Of the Virtual Proving Ground (Virtual Proving Ground, VPG) in the organization of road file; use of self-regression model (Auto Regressive Model, AR model) reproduces the road roughness data in time domain; under the "highway route design" to study the Road-shaped basic form of expression and to correctly describe the road geometry of the mathematical method; On this basis, the use of MATLAB programming and the preparation of a comprehensive road geometry file surface roughness automatically generated procedures, and to achieve an effective interface with the VPG. Taking a model for the study, conducted tests and ride suspension system natural frequency and damping ratio of the test trials, and in the VPG and test prototypes to create the corresponding quarter of the vehicle model. And then re-grade road in the smoothness of the model simulation results with the experimental results have good consistency, proved the correctness of the construction of the road model.This thesis is embedded in the VPG road conditions of the road reflects the model provides a viable solution. Key words: virtual road, AR model, VPG, interpolation, a quarter vehicle model, road test simulation
