Brushless DC Motor Control EPS System Development

EPS brushless DC motor system is more efficient, reliable, less interference, the advantages of wireless is the direction of one of the EPS system development. In China, U.S. TRW Inc. (Shanghai) and a number of companies are developing them. This paper describes in detail the EPS system and its working principle of brushless DC motor and the basic structure, a systematic analysis of the brushless DC motor in the work process, the stator winding current, back EMF, the rotor position angle between the signal and power . On this basis, the establishment of a mathematical model of brushless DC motor, and constructing the state space expression. Secondly, the article according to the mathematical model of brushless DC motor in Matlab / Simulink environment, using SimPowerSystem, S-function and ControlSystem other modules built a brushless DC motor control system simulation model and simulation analysis.The simulation results show that the model is realistic, can be applied to further study.Again, the paper design of the EPS with a brushless DC motor control system, including hardware and software in two parts. Hardware includes an integrated chip MC33035, IR2103 and IRF3205 power tube composed of motor drive control circuit and control circuit MC9S08AW16 EPS composition. In software design, mainly related to the incremental PID control strategy and the specific control function in the implementation of the microcontroller and other aspects. Finally, the design of the control system debugging and testing. In the study, collected the duty cycle signal, the rotor rotation frequency, and turn signals, analysis of their relationship. The results show that the design is feasible for further research provided the basis and reference.
